Hal&nbsp;ini&nbsp;memungkinkan&nbsp;pengguna&nbsp;menikmati&nbsp;akses&nbsp;internet yang&nbsp;cepat&nbsp;dan&nbsp;stabil,&nbsp;membuat&nbsp;GPON&nbsp;menjadi&nbsp;solusi&nbsp;yang&nbsp;efisien&nbsp;untuk&nbsp;kebutuhan&nbsp;komunikasi&nbsp;modern.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pengertian&nbsp;GPON<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network)&nbsp;adalah&nbsp;teknologi&nbsp;jaringan&nbsp;optik&nbsp;yang&nbsp;memanfaatkan&nbsp;serat&nbsp;optik&nbsp;dan Time-division Multiplexing (TDM)&nbsp;untuk&nbsp;mengirimkan&nbsp;data,&nbsp;suara, dan video&nbsp;kepada&nbsp;pelanggan.&nbsp;Umumnya, GPON&nbsp;digunakan&nbsp;terutama&nbsp;dalam&nbsp;infrastruktur&nbsp;akses&nbsp;broadband,&nbsp;seperti&nbsp;layanan&nbsp;Internet Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dalam&nbsp;struktur&nbsp;GPON,&nbsp;terdapat&nbsp;dua&nbsp;komponen&nbsp;kunci,&nbsp;yaitu&nbsp;Optical Line Terminal (OLT) dan Optical Network Termination (ONT). OLT&nbsp;mentransmisikan&nbsp;sinyal&nbsp;optik&nbsp;ke&nbsp;ONU&nbsp;menggunakan&nbsp;teknologi&nbsp;Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM), di mana&nbsp;beberapa&nbsp;panjang&nbsp;gelombang&nbsp;cahaya&nbsp;digunakan&nbsp;untuk&nbsp;membawa&nbsp;informasi&nbsp;yang&nbsp;berbeda&nbsp;secara&nbsp;simultan.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Upstream (Hilir)&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Perangkat&nbsp;pelanggan&nbsp;seperti&nbsp;ONT (Optical Network Terminal)&nbsp;menghasilkan&nbsp;data yang&nbsp;kemudian&nbsp;dikirimkan&nbsp;kembali&nbsp;ke&nbsp;OLT.&nbsp;Selanjutnya, data&nbsp;tersebut&nbsp;diubah&nbsp;menjadi&nbsp;sinyal&nbsp;optik&nbsp;oleh ONT dan&nbsp;dikirimkan&nbsp;melalui&nbsp;serat&nbsp;optik&nbsp;kembali&nbsp;ke&nbsp;OLT.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pengaturan&nbsp;Bandwidth&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>OLT&nbsp;mengelola&nbsp;alokasi&nbsp;bandwidth&nbsp;untuk&nbsp;setiap&nbsp;pelanggan&nbsp;secara&nbsp;dinamis&nbsp;menggunakan&nbsp;protokol&nbsp;GPON yang&nbsp;dikenal&nbsp;sebagai&nbsp;Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA).
